The GHS is honored to be the recipient of two prestigious national awards – the 2016 Albert B. Corey Award from the American Association of State and Local History and the 2016 Wright Spirit Award from the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy. Second Grade Visit

Glencoe Memorial Day Ceremony
The Glencoe Historical Society joins the Village of Glencoe in hosting our community’s annual Memorial Day Ceremony at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 29, 2017 at Veteran’s Memorial Park located just east of the train station next to the Glencoe Union Church. Focus on World War I
GHS kicked off its programming in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the American entry into World War I with a program at the Glencoe Public Library on April 9, 2017. A new, interactive exhibit highlighting the roles of Glencoe residents in supporting the war both at home and abroad will open at the Annual GHS Gala on September 16, 2017.
